JMH Financial Services provides monthly bookkeeping, clean-up, payroll administration and advisory to small businesses and real estate professionals, locally and nationwide.
Our story
JMH Financial Services was founded in 2025 after eight years of bookkeeping and financial operations work inside other practices. Over that time, a pattern was clear: many small businesses paid a monthly fee for bookkeeping without ever speaking to the person responsible for their file. Questions went into a queue, and answers came back late or from someone new.
JMH works with a limited number of clients so that each engagement is handled directly, with replies within 30 minutes during business hours.
The firm is based in Centreville, Virginia. Most work is delivered remotely, so clients across Northern Virginia and nationwide receive the same service, the same monthly schedule and the same written terms.

Andre Lafuente
OwnerEight years of bookkeeping and financial operations inside other practices before founding JMH in 2025. Andre owns every engagement, writes every proposal, and signs off on every monthly close before it reaches your portal. He remains your primary point of contact.
Pauline Sarmiento
Bookkeeper · Independent contractorPauline holds a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and is a CPA candidate. She works the books alongside Andre on every plan: categorization, reconciliation, payroll mapping and the question list that comes with each close. When Andre is out, Pauline already knows your file.
Our principles
Timely reporting
Financial statements are only useful if they arrive in time to act on. Every engagement is scheduled around a close by the 10th of the month.
Accuracy over assumptions
A transaction placed in a category that only looks right compounds into larger errors. Anything we cannot confirm goes on a short question list for you.
Clearly defined scope
We keep books. We do not prepare taxes, file with any agency, hold client funds or give legal advice. We coordinate with your CPA, attorney and bank so each can do their part.
Service area
JMH is based in Centreville, Virginia and serves owner-operators, small teams, real estate agents and landlords across Northern Virginia. Because the work runs through your own software and an encrypted portal, clients in other states get exactly the same service on exactly the same terms.
